How To Reach Us

    The best and nearest international airport is in New Delhi. Usually, the airplanes from the Western hemisphere land in New Delhi at midnight or even much later. Depending on your time availability and the state of health, it might be advisable to stay in New Delhi over night and then continue with the travel. Even two nights might be beneficial or necessary to get over the jetlag and make the travel more smooth.

    In New Delhi, you can choose from a great variety of hotels - from de luxe (150 to 300 USD) to very modest (10 - 25 USD) accommodation - everything is available. Please contact us if you need help to organise your stay in New Delhi (hotel, car for sight-seeings, etc.) and the travel to Rishikesh.

    From New Delhi, you have three possibilities to continue your travel to Rishikesh:

    1. By air
    airline The most convenient way to travel will be to fly from New Delhi to Dehradun.The Jolly Grant airport near Dehradun.
    From there it is only about 20 km to Rishikesh. You can take a taxi, preferably a ?prepaid taxi?. The counter is usually to be found at the exit from an airport. Or let us know if we may organise your pick-up from the airport
    2. By car (taxi)
    airline From New Delhi to Rishikesh, it takes around 5 hrs by car, depending on the time of the day and the trafic situation. Please contact us to organise your travel by taxi

    3. By train
    airline A train from New Delhi to Haridwar takes about 4 to 6 hrs, and costs 300 to 500 Rp. or more, depending on the chosen train and seat category.

    At the Main Train Stations, foreign travellers have their own office where they can make their reservations and buy the tickets even with foreign currency.

    From Haridwar you can take a taxi (ca. 40 min., ca. 500 Rs) or an Autoriksha (ca. 1 hr., definitely more drafty mode of travel, ca. 300 Rs). Distance is about 22 km
